Marvin Priest ft Wynter Gordon produce song of the year.

After waiting impatiently to hear this new track it surfaced last night on Youtube and to be honest it is a let down... Jokes, it has actually exceeded expectations and will be a top 5 hit minimum. Mark my words. This song is going to go multiple times platinum.

What can I say about the song? Well it has a killer beat and almost a reggae vibe at times which surprised me. And then Wynter Gordon hits the chorus with some tough, sultry vocals that almost make the song.
Anyway, I will let you be the judge. The song is below and if you really dig the song like I do, then buy it on Itunes.

See no more - Pleasant suprise.

I must confess that I have never liked ANYTHING that Joe Jonas has done so when I first heard this song I was pleasantly surprised. See No More is like a mix between Jesse McCartney and a slow pop number by Chris Brown and I love it. Joe Jonas's debut solo single express his feeling about a failed relationship.

In both the US and Aus this single has criminally yet to set the charts on fire. I guess this slow pop number is a little bit 07 and isn't the pop/rnb single which have been setting the charts alight since the introduction of Taio Cruz and Jason De Rulo. Either way, this song is probably the best break up song of the year with a brilliant chorus and a story that everyone can relate too.

Below is the official video. Hopefully for Joe's sake this song can pick up on radio as I believe he and the song deserves it.

Marvin Priest and Wynter Gordon team up.

Despite Marvin Priest technically being British and not Australian I have decided to claim him . I mean, apparently that other British bloke who can not pull off the auto tune dance music aka Brian McFadden (where did come party chart...?)is an 'Aussie' so Marvin who lives and records in Aus is now eligible/confirmed!

Anyway to something more relevant, the new song is called Take Me Away and has just been sent to radio. In it he team up with so hot right now Wynter Gordon. It is an understatement to say that I am excited for this new track. Own this Club has to be one of the songs of the year and certainly got a lot of play on my iPod. The challenge of course is to back it up. Own this club was a massive hit for Marvin - but now he needs to follow it up with another club banger, and getting Wynter Gordon on board for seems like a sure fire way of achieving that.

As far as I am aware there is no date for a digital release at the moment - but I will be reviewing the song once I stalk it down on radio or the net! (unless some lovely record label worker wants to send me a snippet :P)So you will be kept informed.

NEW MAUBOY.

Jess Mauboy last week dropped the first track from her repackaged version of current album Get Em Girls, Inescapable. And after being unsure about the single at first, it has really grown on me and clearly has connect with the Australian public with it soaring to #22 on Itunes. Mauboy's sophomore album is actually a really good album yet sadly hasn't reproduced the success of Been Waiting which blew up and has gone platinum multiple times over! Hopefully the repackage is just what Jess needs, although I still think the original version held some fantastic songs like Forget you name, Like This ft Iyaz and fan favourite Maze that had single potential.

Thankfully, Sony have also learn't the lesson that less can be more after the disaster that was Get Em Girls directed by Hype Williams.

Thankfully that hot mess is past us with Jess Mauboy releasing the video to her new single almost straight after the single dropped. And while the video is simple, Jess Mauboy looks stunning in the new video and it shows a warm and playful side of Jess! Inescapable is on Itunes now and the deluxe edition of Jess's album will hit the stores on Friday August 12.

Michael Paynter - How Sweet it is.

You will soon find out how much I dig Michael Paynter's music. Very few musicians can create an addictive song with meaning better than Michael Paynter does! There isn't a song of his I don't like from Closer to his new single How Sweet it is. In my eyes he can do no wrong.

Despite decent Radio play the song is yet to trouble the Itunes Top 200 although his last single Love the fall took a while to take off so I will keep the faith. I can't wait to hear more songs for his soon to be released EP. Until then enjoy his amazing new single How Sweet it is below:
